Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have commercial ties to any vendor?
No. USS AviationConsulting is fully independent. Where I work with a solution provider as part of an engagement, that relationship is transparent and governed by a clear scope of work. My advice is always driven by the operational needs of the client I am working for.
What types of organizations do you typically work with?
Airlines, airports, ground handlers, special service providers, and ground handling technology solution providers.
At what stage should I bring you in?
Ideally the earlier the better, but there is value at any stage. I can support you at the start of a project, review something already underway, or take a look back at a completed initiative to draw out lessons for what comes next.
What does an engagement typically look like, and how long does it take?
Engagements are tailored to the question at hand and scope. The "Ways to Engage" section outlines the most common formats. If you have something different in mind, feel free to get in touch. I am happy to discuss what would work best for your situation.
Can you provide a comparison of different solution suppliers?
Not in the sense of ranking one supplier against another. What I do instead is assess how well a given solution fits your specific operational requirements. That gives you a much more useful basis for a decision than a generic side-by-side comparison.
Can you support tender or RFP processes?
Yes. Tender and RFP processes are something I can support, whether that means helping you structure the right questions, evaluate responses, or think through what good looks like for your operation.
Do you deliver training or workshops as part of an engagement?
Yes. Training and workshops can be part of an engagement or standalone. Content is aligned to your specific needs before we begin.
Do you work on-site or remotely, or both?
Both. The working arrangement is agreed upfront based on what makes most sense for the engagement.
How do you handle confidentiality when working with multiple clients in the same sector?
NDAs are standard practice, and I take confidentiality very seriously. Having worked across many organizations throughout my career, I am well practised in keeping client information strictly separate and protected.
Can I reach you in my time zone?
Yes. I am happy to agree on meeting times that work for your location, wherever you are.
